book a session
The word Burnout was first used by German-American psychologist Herbert Freudenberger in 1974 and is broadly defined as “physical or mental collapse caused by overwork or stress.” The Holistic approach to health and wellness considers all aspects of a person. Since it is a whole person approach it does not require many different types of practitioners or therapies to address various health issues. In one session it is possible to explore:
  • insomnia, heartburn and IBS
  • jealousy of fellow co-workers
  • feelings of insecurity and a lack of confidence while speaking at meetings
and even a combination of all of the above. A session can cover issues of mild stress and anxiety or more severe situations.

Trans-Generational Trauma
In cases with trans-generational trauma, the original, unresolved trauma is carried over from previous generations to the current one. For those coping with this type of trauma it can be confusing to address and understand since the symptoms they are experiencing are not based in their own life history or experiences. Homeopathy can be a beautiful and fascinating tool for this kind of trauma.

I know there is something not quite right!
As a holistic practitioner and homeopath I will always work with a person who has the 'feeling' that something is off or who does not feel well. It is not necessary to have a referral or diagnosis.

Why childhood trauma is particularly important

It is important to note that childhood trauma can have serious and long-lasting effects. If childhood trauma is not resolved, a sense of fear and helplessness carries over into adulthood, and there is a predisposition to further trauma. Some of the main reasons for trauma to a child are:
  • Instability and lack of safety
  • Separation from a caretaker
  • Neglect and an insecure attachment
  • Serious illness
  • Intrusive medical procedures
  • Verbal, physical or sexual abuse
  • Aggression and violence
  • Excess fears and anxieties
  • Bullying
When we have trauma, the deeper healing often never takes place. With the homeopathic process, it is never too late to resolve and heal a childhood trauma. It can also help with generational traumas that we carry with us.

Healing and moving past trauma

Authenticity
The answer is to reconnect with our authentic self. Authenticity is to be true to one's own personality, spirit or character. To observe our true self is a path back to authenticity. The homeopathic session offers a space in which to return to this true part of ourselves, reconnect to ourself and to feel more connected to others.
Darkness into light
Do we see good or bad in things? What often happens in trauma is an unwillingness to address experiences we judge to be bad. We survived the experience, but now try to avoid similar experiences or cope by disconnecting, or we may have even forgotten or suppressed it. Letting light shine out of darkness means that what might have been a difficult experience, we can resolve and find the needed support in the present.
Safe space
As a method to address traumas, homeopathy adds a holistic approach by including all aspects of the individual's experience no matter how unusual, irrational or even embarrassing and offers a non-judgemental, safe, compassionate and collaborative space. This method is safe to use with most treatments and medications. Holistic support and homeopathic remedies can provide additional support and can help speed up the recovery process.
